Jade Alexandra meets The Little Pearl Company

Wedding day jewellery is such a sentimental purchase, it’s something you will always treasure and cherish! Sometimes I feel brides can go two ways when purchasing wedding jewellery – either budget blown bling, which probably will never be worn again – or last minute high-street buys, but where is the sparkle? – the sparkle of how you felt when you picked and purchased your wedding jewellery.

This is exactly how Lorna, owner of The Little Pearl Company, felt when she was looking for jewellery and accessories for her own wedding. She was so disappointed that there was nowhere that offered a bespoke service, with unique brands at an affordable price. So that is exactly what she created and I just love love love!

Before you begin to drool over the jewels, I have been kindly given a discount code (yay!) –  simply quote JADE15 at the checkout to receive 15% off absolutely anything, you can thank me later! (Valid until midnight 10.04.18)

The Little Pearl Company is based just outside Ballymena and offers all the bridal jewellery and accessories you could ever imagine! Usually brides will opt for a bracelet with earrings to keep things simple alongside the dress.

However, sometimes I personally find wedding jewellery overly dated. So I was delighted to find that The Little Pearl Company has turned this around and stocks amazing brands plus their own brand. My favourite has to be ‘Lily & Rose’ which just screams all of my favourite colours – quartz, champagne and blush. I’m sold.

Earrings are a must – a classic pear stud diamond definitely makes a statement, or a simple pearl for that elegant touch, but don’t be afraid of adding a touch of colour to your sparkle. I found it pretty difficult to choose my top three favourite earrings, but I would definitely wear all of these again, perfect for nights out!

Who doesn’t love a backless dress? Why not team it with a back drop necklace – this is my absolute favourite pairing at the moment. I love layering jewellery, so I would probably wear a few of these, with a silky backless simple satin dress – oh so dreamy!

The options for hair accessories are endless – headpieces, pins, hairbands, combs, and my ultimate current trending favourite – hair vines! I always assumed I was a flowers in my hair kinda bride until I properly spent time with Lorna at The Little Pearl Company, and she has me converted! After much deliberating I managed to pick out a few of my favourite styles, all of them are just stunning and some can even be customised to include specific coloured stones – a-maz-ing!

Saving the best until last, I arrived to The Little Pearl Company admiring the jewellery – as that is what I expected to see – I turned round and found several pairs of incredible Badgley Mischka’s staring at me, obviously wanting me to try them on! I adore shoes and occasionally ‘invest’ (such a good word to use when shoe shopping!) with Louboutin & Jimmy Choo both featuring on my feet at times. However it is a complete bible statement that Badgley Mischka is the ‘Queen of the Wedding Shoe’.

Very few places stock this brand in Northern Ireland, so if you are interested I would definitely advise arranging an appointment to visit The Little Pearl Company and meet with Lorna, who will spend time with you discussing your options. I know I would much rather this experience than getting shoved around a department store. Oh, and if you opt for a satin pair – you can dye them! Now that is an investment, pretty ivory wedding shoes to black glam going out court shoes – just like that!

I cannot recommend The Little Pearl Company enough and I really hope you treat yourself to something special for your big day using my discount code, JADE15. I will definitely be returning soon to buy some statement earrings which will be forever pieces in my jewellery box.

Love, Jade
