How to ask your bridesmaids…

The diamond has arrived, you’ve found your mister, but you need your sisters! Brides are becoming more and more creative when it comes to asking your besties to be your bridesmaids. It really does set the excitement from the beginning!

A text or a brief, ‘do you fancy being my bridesmaid?’ doesn’t really make the cut anymore. We are ladies with high expectations, we want the attention, we expect the effort and it sure needs to be pretty so it can hit our Instagram grid!

So I thought I would pull together a few of my favourite ideas, so you can keep your bridesmaids happy…before you threaten them with the ugly dress!

A girl can never say no to jewels…

Jewellery is always a safe option, it’s something which they can wear and keep as a forever sentimental piece. This necklace is the sweetest, it’s only £22 and you can select your preferred gem stone colours, initial and it also comes with a card. Pearls will forever be in fashion and these little earrings are adorable. They are only £19.50, a nice size which will suit all and you can select a different initial for each box to add that extra personal touch. Your girls will love them!

It’s time to celebrate…

Lets form this bridal squad with a party! Invite the girls round for a sleepover and begin the celebrations! These little confetti cannons are such a great idea, as you can include your own personal message inside for your bridesmaid to find! I also adore the balloon in a box, once they’ve popped the balloon, you’ve popped the question! The packaging is also so dreamy!

Meet Martha, the mother of pretty stationery…

As you know, I am such a sucker for stationery. I buy all of my diaries and planners from Martha Brook – the quality is brilliant and such reasonable pricing. They also do a great range of guest books which I highly recommend. I literally love every item they offer, but especially this personalised notebook, I have two of these myself and they are fab. Perfect for your bridesmaids to jot down their duties and ideas! I also think this card is so sweet, together you have the perfect gift for £30.50!

 A girlie afternoon tea…

Invite the girls over for an afternoon filled with bubbles and treats, what more does a girl want? It’s also such a great way to spend quality girl time with your favourites! I love these little labels which you can personalise and place onto a mini champagne bottle, you can even add a personalised bag for the bottle! Why not top it off with a personalised champagne flute for the maids to take home as a keepsake!

A girl can never have enough make up…

Any form of storage for our ridiculously large beauty collections is always useful. So I can guarantee your girls will definitely use these! They are just perfect for a girlie sleepover and of course the upcoming hen party(s) – we can’t just have one hen these days can we? I love how pretty this little cosmetic bag is, it is from Etsy and under £15. You could also pop the perfect nude lipstick into the bag, which they can use to top up on the big day. My all time favourite everyday nude is ‘Charlotte Tilbury, Matte Revolution – Very Victoria’ – it is dreamy!
