Christmas Wreath Workshop with Millson & Berry

I cannot believe it’s December! Today was the day of opening the first door of my advent calendar, Michael Bublé featured in the car, and I have had my fair share of mulled wine this afternoon – bliss! Although the highlight of my day was spending it with my sister and mum along with Millson & Berry for their Christmas Wreath Workshop. It was the perfect way to begin the festive month!

Any of my brides will know that I am really into flowers, some would say obsessed! I regularly recommend Millson & Berry to my brides as I love their work and Jane and her team are just so lovely to work with! I’ve always wanted to try my hand at some florist workshops so with December bringing lots of Winter weddings, an afternoon of wreath making was the perfect opportunity to see how hands on I am with my creativity!

To round it up, I will never look at a Christmas wreath in the same way again, or any other floral creation in that matter! There is so much time, work and creativity involved!

The workshop was held in the marquee at The Ivory Pavilion, it was also ‘Small Business Saturday’ today so it was so lovely to see a variety of local business stalls set up in the marquee. Perfect for a mooch around for a nosey, sipping a mulled cider!

We then took out seats, put on our cute little pinny aprons and were presented with our foliage buckets and moss ring! Jane & her wonderful team at Millson & Berry guided us through, step by step to create the base of the wreath. I will be having dreams tonight of wrapping wire!

Once we had the base made, we got to venture to the decorating stations – well this is where I went a bit OTT and got over excited. I actually forgot to take a picture of these, mainly due to the fact my hands were filled with pine cones, ribbon and cinnamon sticks!

You can see that I threw everything at it – it’s Christmas after all! We finished with Afternoon Tea in Galgorm Castle with a raffle in donation to Cash for Kids! Overall it was such a lovely afternoon which I would highly recommend. A perfect early Christmas present, an excuse to spend a day with your family and I also think it would be perfect for a hen party – I will definitely be returning next year!

Love, Jade x
